Repetitive paroxysmal ventricular tachycardia with fusion beats.

چکیده
Paroxysmal ventricular tachycardia is unfortunately fairly common and is usually associated with serious heart disease and a poor prognosis. Of late, however, attention has been drawn by numerous observers to a rare and apparently benign form where paroxysms of ventricular tachycardia interrupted by normal sinus beats keep on recurring for months or years. In view of the apparent rarity of the repetitive form of paroxysmal ventricular tachycardia and the presence of some unusual features the following case is reported.

Cardiac ballet: repetitions of complex electrocardiographic patterns.
During the past 12 years 7 examples have been encountered of brief arrhythmic episodes which we have called the "cardiac ballet". They consist of sequences of multiform ventricular (QRST) complexes, with or without ventricular complexes of the shape of sinus beats interspersed. The special feature of the arrhythmia is that the characteristic patterns of the sequences are from time to time repli...
متن کاملCASE REPORTS Ventricular Origin of Bidirectional Tachycardia
Electrophysiological, hemodynamic and angiographic studies were performed on an 18 year old woman with asymptomatic recurrent bidirectional tachycardia of eight years' duration and mild hyperkalemic periodic paralysis. Multiple surface electrocardiograms and His bundle and right atrial electrograms revealed that 1) all beats during bidirectional tachycardia originated in the left ventricle; 2) ...
متن کاملLong-term control of reciprocating paroxysmal tachycardia by ventricular pacing in a case of Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome.
A patient is described with a complex electrocardiographic pattern, including preexcitation, grade 1 atrioventricular block, reciprocal rhythm of atrial origin, and frequent attacks of reciprocating tachycardia at a rate of about 135 beats per minute. Long-term control of these attacks was obtained by synchronous ventricular pacing at 80 beats a minute, which was below the rate during the attac...

Belhassen tachycardia is the most common idiopathic ventricular tachycardia arising from the left ventricle, classically characterized by a right bundle branch block and left axis deviation. Vigilance for Belhassen tachycardia is essential as intravenous verapamil has proven to be highly efficacious for treating symptomatic patients with this underlying arrhythmia.
متن کاملInnappropriate Sinus Tachycardia After Superior Vena Cava Isolation In Addition To Pulmonary Veins Isolatin Of Paroxysmal Atrial Fibrillation Cryoballoon Ablation.
We report a case of persistent inappropriate sinus tachycardia (IST) after pulmonary vein and superior vena cava (SVC) isolation with cryoballoon ablation for paroxysmal atrial fibrillation (PAF). After the cryoballoon ablation (CBA) procedure, the patient presented with sinus tachycardia of 105 beats/minute. The patient was successfully treated with metoprolol and ivabradine therapy.
